I look back at irrecoverable time with those who aren’t with us anymore, or are soon leaving. Food loses its savor, pleasure loses its appeal, and the distractions that used to captivate my mind now break my heart. What I would forego for another hug, another laugh, another moment of pure life together. Death seems to swallow up hope, but I know better, and will hold fast to the One who rose again.

I am married to the love of my life, and am a father to my little one, Lincoln. It’s been made clear to me that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. In the pursuit for truth and meaning, I have found there is no higher calling one can aspire to than to do that which God has planned for them. Writing from a perspective I call the “third response,” I try to present an argument that doesn’t merely take a stance (“for” or “against”) but goes to the heart of the matter to reveal an ethic that speaks louder than opinion. Developing content for A Response gives me great satisfaction as I discern and highlight truths often overlooked in situations that confront us on a daily basis.
