Life

I look back at irrecoverable time with those who aren’t with us anymore, or are soon leaving.  Food loses its savor, pleasure loses its appeal, and the distractions that used to captivate my mind now break my heart.  What I would forego for another hug, another laugh, another moment of pure life together.  Death seems to swallow up hope, but I know better, and will hold fast to the One who rose again.
